RE: Kids, seat belts, and Class A's. What's your opinion?

I think you should exercise good judgement. And I see nothing wrong with them getting up for a couple of minutes provided you feel it is safe to do so. However, there is always a chance something could happen. I guess life is just chock full of little chances we have to take sometimes. Besides, even with the seatbelt on you will likely not survive the meteor strike or the 20 rollovers. Buffalo, maybe, depending on how many there are.
I agree, life is full of what if's. Like the man said, if your on a lonely straight stretch with light traffic I don't see a problem.

RE: Diesel below $4.00

I see on Flying J most of the country, Diesel is below four bucks except NJ and the LEFT coast.
BTW your discount at Safeway is only good for 25 gal. Then you have to spend another 100 bucks to get it again. Their new system sucks. I used to fill up my MH (90 gal) and car with the same discount. Maybe I'm the reason they changed it ha, spose???? :(

RE: Car Towing Methods

I've done all three and with out a question, four down is the way to go... The wear and tear will be minimal compared to the hassel of a tow dolly or trailor, not counting the extra weight.

RE: What to do about banking while on the road?

Most all our bills are on auto pay. That and our visa card work very well while on the road. We also carry travelers checks, although they are getting harder and harder to cash because of all the fraud going on now days.

I agree, but keep in mind it is just a deterent. To be on the complete safe side a large caliber hand gun would be in order. "IF," you know how to use one. BTW not trying to turn this into a gun thread

RE: My weekend with photos and a point!!! Smokers stay away!

Well I hate litter bugs as well. But people that flip Cigarettes butts around piss me off more than the run of the mill litter bug. Mostly because they were screwing around with my livelihood. And have told them so when I could. It takes about 150 to 200 years for a large tree to grow and about one idiot five minutes or so to burn it down.

RE: 2005 Winnebago Adventurer- please adivse on unit

I bought a 01 Adventure new (32' one slide) Ford V-10 and have to say. It was the best MH I have ever had including my present 05 Journey DP. If the price is right and in good shape, I say go for it.

RE: Big butt, small toilet?

While we're talking toilets - here's another thing to ponder:
Ours is a short toilet mounted on a box-like riser. Hubby wears size 14 shoes; sons and grandsons also have huge feet. To put it delicately, I've had to encourage all my men to "lean in" considerably, to make my housekeeping duties easier???
Our next RV will have a pedestal-type of toilet so my guys have "foot room".

RE: Big butt, small toilet?

I hear you my friend we have about the same physical dimensions. After a recent hip replacement I had to sit on one of those elevated stool rings. Boy I can't see going back to a regular ring. it would be like sitting on a horse shoe. This elevated ring is so much wider, although the hole itself is a tad bit smaller, but works for me.

RE: snap, crackle & pop goes the frame

I had about the same problem with my MH after about 40K miles. The sound was coming from the duel wheel area. So one day I decided to find the noise problem... I pulled my dual wheels off, then the wheel well covering. Right behind the wheel covering between the upper floor and lower floor was a sheet metal brace, it had a fatigue crack about 5 inches long causing the brace to give off a waffling sound. I drilled out the end of the crack, and reinforced it with a sheet metal brace and walla no more noise. BTW, I pop riveted the brace in place instead of welding, ( I was scared of a fire problem).
